Pet-Friendly Hotels
The Iowa City area is home to several pet-friendly hotels ready for you and your furry friend. They range all over from downtown like Graduate to outside of the city like The Highlander and even in Coralville with the Drury Inn & Suites. No matter what part of our area you want to stay, there will be a pet-friendly hotel for you. See a full list of pet-friendly hotels here. Keep in mind that there might be an additional fee.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
When you are out and about looking for a place to eat, why not bring your pet? There is a plethora of restaurants in the Iowa City area that allow pets but keep in mind that it mostly on patios with a leash requirement. Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City is a very popular spot for dogs. They welcome dogs year round on their patio and sell dog toys inside. They even have an Instagram page dedicated to the dogs that visits! Backpocket Brewing in Coralville also loves to have pets on their patio. Your hound will love their special “dog brew”. Other popular places include Reds Alehouse in North Liberty and places in downtown Iowa City like Quinton’s Bar & Deli or Pullman Bar & Diner.

Things To Do
Have some free time and need something to do with your pet? Head to one of our dog parks. Thornberry Off-Leash Dog Park is an 11-acre park divided into sections to accommodate most dogs needs. Rita’s Ranch is a 3-acre off-leash area within another park and includes a Lucky Pawz Playground area. Other great places include Terry Trueblood Recreation Area in South Iowa City and Centennial Park in North Liberty.

Extra Treat
Woofables is a doggie bakery located off of 2nd Street in Coralville. They sell make from scratch gourmet dog treats using naturally healthy ingredients. So, bring you dog in and get them a tasty treat because after all, they are such a good boy or girl!
