Located at the crossroads of Interstate 80 (San Fransisco to New York) and Interstate 380/Highway 218 (St. Paul to St. Louis), Iowa City is a convenient trip from major metro areas.
The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID), located just 20 miles north of the Iowa City area, served a record 1.5 million passengers in 2024. With nonstop service to 18 major cities—including Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C.—the airport is served by five airlines: American, Allegiant, Delta, United, and Frontier.
