Tied with Bluebird in my mind for best breakfast in town. I used to have a lower rating for this place, but consistent trips met with delicious biscuits and gravy have made me "come around" to Hamburg Inn. No. 2. Happy to have a joint like this around where prices are still not astronomical, and good food comes out fast.
Absolutely one of if not the best breakfast in town, not even close. I had the president's breakfast with scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon. Out of this world
This is a must try if you come to Iowa City. My first time here food was amazing. I got breakfast & my daughter got lunch so I got to try both!! Very yummy!!
An Iowa City icon. My eggs Benedict was as good as I've had anywhere. It is small and busy, but our service was good and meals came out hot and quickly.
The folks who work at the Hamburg Inn are hard working, nice people. I had the cinnamon role French toast and two eggs over easy. I found the eggs were wet, and the French toast was dry. The place was quite busy, so that can be understandable. One so-so experience is understandable, and I'll return.
