
For five decades, the second weekend of July has meant one thing in Solon. Main Street closes down, the bandstand lights up, and the whole town turns out for a parade, a fun run, bag and archery tournaments, food, beer, and music all weekend.
Sponsored by the businesses and neighbors of Solon, run by volunteers. Every ticket, raffle, and beer tent pour funds scholarships, parks, and the organizations that keep Solon strong all year.
Food vendors serve steak sandwiches, pork loin sandwiches, and pork burgers along Main Street all weekend. Scouts Troop 120, the Women’s Club, and the American Legion all run booths too.
Beer tent pours Busch Light, Coors Light, Citrus Surfer, Easy Eddy, White Claw Black Cherry, and Smirnoff Red White & Berry.
Carnival at the midway runs Friday and Saturday evenings, 5–10 PM. Unlimited ride wristbands are $25 per night.
