The Soldier Salute collegiate wrestling tournament begins a new annual tradition of recognizing and honoring our former, current, and future service members. The tournament is hosted by the Iowa City Area Sports Commission and includes both a women’s and men’s division. 100% of the annual tournament proceeds will be split between the United Service Organizations (USO) and a development fund targeted towards the continued growth of high school girls wrestling.
The tournament features the Iowa Hawkeyes co-headlined by Navy and Virginia Military Institute. They are joined by many other other D1 programs and athletes from around the country. The Iowa Women’s Wrestling program is represented on the women’s side and is highlighted by Life University, Army WCAP, Indiana Tech and many other top-level programs.
