Run For The Schools

$15 – $35

The annual Run for the Schools takes place this year on October 6, 2024. This is a family-friendly event through downtown Iowa City followed by a Party in the Park at Chauncey Park. Choose your distance– Half-Mile, Mile, 5K or 10K.

Race participants have the opportunity to raise money for our schools by:

Running or Walking in the race
Sponsoring the Race
Making a donation for Run for the Schools.
Volunteering on race weekend

The race is title sponsored by MidWestOne Bank and is hosted by Iowa City Road Races. The event has been raising money for Iowa City Community School District and Regina Catholic schools since 1999. Iowa City Road Races, Inc. is a non-profit group of volunteers committed to fundraising for the schools in our community while promoting health and fitness through running at all skill levels.
