Prepare for a night of musical exploration and adventurous grooves! Join us at the Ped Mall Stage for a double-header featuring StrumDrum and Jack Lion.
StrumDrum (Blake Shaw and Christopher Jensen) brings a unique “hybrid” sound to the stage, blending jazz, blues, and pop. Watch in awe as Blake plays bass and guitar simultaneously while singing, backed by Christopher’s intricate percussion.
Jack Lion refashions the connection between jazz and electronic music for the modern era. Expect a balance of jazz composition, down-tempo break-beats, and hazy atmospherics from one of Iowa City’s most adventurous bands.
What to expect:
– FREE live music in the heart of the Ped Mall. A mix of jazz fusion, electronic vibes, and pop.
– Rain location: Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp (if needed)
