Join us September 30 – October 4 as we celebrate the season with FREE FARM ADMISSION.
It has been a challenging apple season across Iowa, and our Iowa City orchard was no exception. Apple picking is wrapping up earlier than usual this year, but there is still plenty to enjoy across the farm.
Our pumpkins are looking beautiful, our flower fields have had a wonderful season, and our Farm Market will remain stocked with pre-picked apples from our Solon farm, including special varieties you won’t typically find at the grocery store.
Over the past five years, we’ve worked to make the farm more diverse and resilient, growing berries, flowers, pumpkins, and other seasonal crops alongside nearly 80 apple varieties. Some years, one crop has a difficult season. Other parts of the farm help carry the beauty, abundance, and experience forward.
We’re deeply grateful for everyone who continues to support local agriculture, especially in the unpredictable seasons.
In that spirit, we’re waiving Farm Admission September 30 – October 4.
