Foods of Hanukkah

Food plays an important role in cultural traditions, bringing people together while sharing stories, history, and community. On December 2, the University of Iowa (UI) Jewish Studies Network (JSN), an International Programs affinity group, invites the public to learn about Hanukkah through one of its most beloved traditions: food.

The Jewish Studies Network focuses on Jews, Judaism, and Jewish communities worldwide, from the ancient world to the present day and into the future. Event attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the role food plays in Hanukkah celebrations and gain a greater understanding of Jewish cultural practices.
