Chicago’s Elizabeth Moen is showcasing her songs in their truest form again. Stripped down and raw as ever, Moen and guitarist Hayden Holbert are bringing an honest and exciting batch of new songs, classics, and fan favorites to the southeast.
After performing with the likes of Kevin Morby, Squirrel Flower, and touring her most recent record Wherever You Aren’t with a 10+ piece band, Elizabeth Moen is stripping things down again to fall back in love with the art of songwriting.
Her collaborator, Hayden Holbert, has transformed an old bus into a home for touring, which Moen says will allow her the space and comfort to reach new audiences in the Southeastern US. On days they would work on the bus out on Holbert’s farm in Wisconsin, they would come inside to write songs. Learning to weld, woodwork, and build things with Hayden has inspired Moen’s own craft as a songwriter, and their collaboration has nourished her art. Says Moen, “Writing up at the farm has been nothing short of a dream and I can’t wait to share what we’ve made together.”
