Next Garden Writing Session coming up! Saturday, July 27th at 1pm at Porchlight!
The project is supported by an Iowa City Public Arts Grant. We couldn’t be happier to continue the series on July 27th from 1-2:30 with Jennifer MacBain-Stephens. Come let your creative energy bloom. This is a free event and all ages and levels of experience are welcome. We will do some outside garden work and then work off of a writing prompt inside! This weeks prompt revolves around wood and trees.
Jennifer MacBain-Stephens (she/her) went to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and now lives in Iowa where she is landlocked. Her fifth, full length poetry collection, “Pool Parties” is now available from Unsolicited Press. She is also the author of fifteen chapbooks. Some of her work appears in The Pinch, South Broadway Ghost Society, Cleaver, Zone 3, Slant, Yalobusha Review, and Grist. She is a member of the Iowa City Poetry Council.
