Step into the sound of a generation and experience the music that changed everything.
Join the Beaker Brothers Band for an evening of high-energy, feel-good dancing inspired by the legendary jam bands of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Featuring music made famous by artists like the Allman Brothers, Santana, Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Rolling Stones, and more, this isn’t just a concert—it’s a celebration of a musical movement.
Rooted in the spirit of Beaker Street—the iconic late-night radio show hosted by Clyde Clifford on KAAY—this band brings to life the era when rock, blues, jazz, and Latin sounds blended into something entirely new. It was the music of discovery, rebellion, and connection—and it still resonates today.
The Beaker Brothers Band doesn’t recreate the past—they play from it. With a deep love for the music and the moments it created, they deliver a sound that’s authentic, vibrant, and made to move you. Whether you remember these songs from the first time around or are discovering them anew, this is your invitation to hit the dance floor, feel the groove, and enjoy a night of timeless music and community. Come ready to dance, connect, and celebrate the soundtrack of a generation.
This event is free and open to everyone, hosted by the Iowa City Senior Center! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic, and settle in for a fun night!
