90s Themed Dance Party for COGS

Party Like it’s 1996, the year graduate student workers at the University of Iowa won a certified union! Since then, we have won continuous raises for graduate students, a healthcare plan, full tuition remission for Teaching and Research Assistantships, and supported hundreds of graduate students solve workplace issues! If you have been a graduate student, faculty, undergraduate student or staff at UI anytime in the past 30 years, this union has impacted you and Iowa City. As our motto goes, “The university works because we do!”.

Celebrate almost 30 years of organizing and hear about what plans we have for the big anniversary in April 2026! Dress up in your favorite fashions of the era and jam out to some good tunes with good friends! COGS asks that you pay-what-you-can at the door, with cogs.org/donation or cash
