4th Annual BioBlitz at the Ashton Prairie Living Laboratory

The University of Iowa is excited to announce its 4th Annual BioBlitz event, bringing local scientists and conservationists together with community members for a unique opportunity to explore and document the rich biodiversity of Iowa.

The event will feature a range of engaging activities suitable for individuals and families alike. Attendees can take part in species identification using the iNaturalist app and hands-on demonstrations of scientific techniques used to study biodiversity. The findings will create a comprehensive snapshot of the natural environment in and around the prairie and contribute valuable data to ongoing research and conservation efforts. In addition, there will be interactive exhibits, and educational displays.
