US News & World Report: Three Iowa City high schools ranked top 10 in the state



U.S. News & World Report has ranked Iowa City West the best high school within the Hawkeye state, followed by Liberty High School at fifth and Iowa City High tenth.

West High scored with a 96.45 overall out of 100, ranking first both for College Readiness and with the College Curriculum Breadth Index Rank.

72 percent of the 1,503 students at West High took at least one Advanced Placement® course. The school has a 94 percent graduation rate, according to statistics provided to U.S. News & World Report by the Iowa Department of Education.

Liberty High School had a 91.19 overall score, while Iowa City High had 87.64.
