FAQ: What is a cat walk?!?
Our cat walk is modeled after the one in Minneapolis‘ Wedge Neighborhood.
Cats get to stay in their house and we go see them!
Think of it as a parody of a parade of homes or a garden tour.
What if I don’t live in the neighborhood? Can I still join?
Yes!! Of course. Meet at Lucas and Market and you can walk with us!
How much walking is involved?
Depending on who signs up it might be two miles or so.
Be prepared with good walking shoes, some water, and treats for yourself.
Are dogs allowed on the walk?
No because cats rule and dogs drool.
Doggies are actually pretty cool, but some cats might not like them so it’s best to leave them at home.
Follow Iowa City Kitty Walk on Instagram at @ickittywalk for updates or to register your house for the parade.
