Healthy Aging Fair 2024

Please join us for the 2024 Healthy Aging Fair. This is a free event that will be held from 9 AM to noon on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Iowa City Senior Center, 28 South Linn Street, Iowa City. Come to explore resources, services, learning activities, and organizations that support healthy, safe, and active lifestyles for mature adults. Presentations include a Dementia Friends presentation to build community support and education on ways to support people experiencing dementia, nutrition for healthy aging, an interactive demonstration of Tai Chi practice for arthritis, fall prevention, and overall fitness, and a wonderful opportunity to experience the healing effects of laughter with the Senior Center Laughing Club.

Participants of the Healthy Aging Fair are eligible to receive a free two-hour parking voucher for the Tower Place Parking Garage starting after the first logged hour of parking, which is free (a potential of 3 hours free parking). Volunteers will be available onsite at The Center to assist with the parking vouchers. Vouchers will need to be redeemed on the date of issue by a specified time.
