Molly’s Cupcakes is located in Downtown Iowa City on S. Clinton St. Originating in Chicago, but managed by local owners, there are a handful of locations across the country. Scratch Cupcakery
Located in Coralville on the Iowa River Landing, Scratch Cupcakes has become one of the most popular cupcake names in the state. They started in Cedar Falls and have opened several more locations in Iowa. Scratch has an endless amount of cupcake flavors that range from regulars like vanilla chocolate to unique ones like mango pina colada. You can see their full list here. They have several kinds of frosting depending on what cupcake flavor you get and with that comes even more toppings. Their flavors are rotated in stores so the line-up is different every day and ordering them is done by the amount you want. One could call their cupcake size as above average or big.
