BEST BBQ IN IOWA CITY!!!
I'm picky about my BBQ, having lived in both Tennessee and Texas, and having cooked professionally for years.
The brisket I had today was smoky, juicy, and so flavorful! Brisket is not easy to keep moist and flavorful when serving restaurant-style, and you guys NAILED IT! And the sides are always great! Especially the cornbread muffins! THANK YOU!

Great food, large portions at a very reasonable price! Our bartender Gerri (spelling*)was incredible, she held our leftovers and merchandise behind the bar while we watched the band we came to see, and came and found us when her shift was over and brought us our stuff so it didn't get left behind or misplaced! Great venue for live music!

We went to Wildwood on 3/21/22 to see the group Blacktop Mojo. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left I have to honestly say it was great. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I'm in a wheelchair and most of the area in front of the stage is standing room only with the exceptions of a few tables. We did purchase a table along with our tickets and it was kind of located in the far back corner of the stage area and I was worried that I was not going to be able to see because of all the people standing in front of me so they kindly moved us as far up to the side as they could and it was great. My kids ordered food. My daughter had the macaroni and cheese. My son had the pork tenderloin. They really enjoyed both of them. The sound was actually pretty good and of course the band rocked! It's a great place to see a show because it's so small and intimate. You can pretty much see the stage from no matter where you are. I have absolutely no complaints. The 3-hour trip was most definitely worth it. Thank you to the Wildwood staff and our favorite band Blacktop Mojo!

The corn bread is amazing and the meats have so much flavor and almost melt in your mouth. The best BBQ is at places like this, recommended by locals, not where you would expect to find them, wood on the walls, ceiling, and floors, nothing fancy, because they focus on the food, which is what you're there for.
