We had reservations last night for a group of five and we ordered about half of the menu to share and everything was fresh, flavorful, and amazing! Make sure you save room for dessert. Service was great too. Easily my new favorite restaurant.

The Webster is an incredible spot. Unique to Iowa City but even more unique to Iowa. If you're looking for a place for an elevated dining experience, look no further. The menu is constantly changing, every time we have visited there have been offerings as well as twists on past favorites. The food they offer pushes the envelope for what has become normal to offer in the area. And they do it delightfully, it's been fun to revisit each time just to see what new surprises are on the menu. I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion, celebration, date or just as an opportunity to challenge your palate. They offer a good array of wine to pair with any meal and are constantly offering new specials. The photos are from their recent Ramen popup. And even though the place has a high class vibe and interesting things on the menu I've found the staff to be incredibly helpful and willing to explain any items or answer questions. Go. Go now and enjoy yourself it's a place worth experiencing.

This was our first time visiting the Webster and we made sure to check out the menu before arriving. We made a reservation for the Friday of valentines weekend and we’re excited to try it. By the time we arrived they were already sold out of items which to me is unacceptable for such a popular night. We ordered the pasta and potato salad which were good but extremely rich and oily. It was very loud in the dining area and it lacked intimacy. Cocktails were TINY for $13. Our server was very nice and the presentation of the food was excellent. Overall it was a very meh experience - there are better options out there for far less money.

Wonderful atmosphere paired with an amazing menu. The lumache is incredible as a pasta dish. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to be back!

Expensive, weird food in small portions. OK, I know that makes me sound like a hick, but this just wasn't in my wheelhouse, nor was it enjoyed all that much by the rest of my family members. We are all well traveled and well educated, and have eaten at many fine restaurants. I would definitely recommend that you read the menu online before you go there. The encourage you to share plates, which I guess is fine if you only want to eat a few bites. The trout that I had was full of bones and skin. Most of it was thrown away. We had to pick at it to find some small edible bites. I suppose some people actually like that. The pasta was OK, but a very small portion; more like an appetizer. The salads sounded very unappealing to me. The lemon curd desert was the best thing of the night. Service was OK. It took quite a while to get our food but they told us up front that this would be the case. The atmosphere is OK, but nothing extraordinary. I won't be coming back.
