This place was perfect for my recent stay in Iowa City. Beautiful accommodations with a bit of history. Right downtown, but in a residential area. I would definitely recommend/choose again!

Got in very late (or very early depending how you look at it) and had no issues. Mark, the owner, messaged me earlier in the day and gave me special instructions on how to get in when I arrived. Surprisingly enough, he happened to be up when I got in and kindly showed me to my room. Mark explained to me that I had booked his smallest unit, and that the other units were larger, some even up to 800 sq ft. My room was perfect for me, and guest, had I brought one though. There was a mini wet bar, stocked with coffee essentials, and a mini fridge, that, had I stayed a few days and brought back leftovers would have done nicely. Truth be told, Mark has done an excellent job making this place feel, and truly be, comfortable. When you stay here, expect to feel like you are staying at a wealthy relatives house. If I ever come through Iowa City again, I know where I am going to stay.

An absolute gem of a place to stay. Walking distance to the downtown area that hosts exquisite food and nightlife. Marc was exceptional and after a long 6 hour drive. He was flexible and understanding over the phone when we booked in the last minute. The Victorian home is beautiful and so are the rooms. Overall exceeded my expectation of Iowa and local area. 5 stars!

This place is an absolute gem! My husband and I stayed here and we have nothing but good things to say. We booked over the phone and Mark, the innkeeper, was super nice and was willing to let us do early check-in since we were driving a full 6 hours. We got to pick our room, had a nice parking spot in the driveway, and we're very pleased with the location. It's in the heart of downtown so it's literally walking distance to everything. In the morning Mark was there with fresh made coffee and hot water for tea. If you are passing through the area, this is the place to stay. 2 star hotel rating does not do it justice!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
