Squire Point Trail, North Liberty

Nice trail that is shaded most all of the way. But it is busy.
Wonderful trails. Beautiful! The signs are a bit cryptic and hard to understand. It is easy to get lost. The first time we went we ended up taking a wrong turn and got on to a different trail. They should have signs that say "back to so and so trail head parking lot" with arrows and or also when there are Ys in the trail there should be signs that say in words with arrows what the trails are and where they go. They have pictorial diagrams of the trail system at each intersection but it is hard to figure out the "you are here" point and also which orientation you are looking at on the map compared to the actual trails. Also - lost cell phone signal a number of times so Google Maps could not tell me where I was or where I was going! Google Maps got really confused. Second time we went I downloaded Alltrails before going (and paying so I could download offline maps). That worked PERFECTLY. The maps of these trails on Google maps do not show the connections between the various trails and if you loose cell signal you see a white screen with a blue dot on it (not very helpful).
It's a little worse for wear after derecho and some of the world exercise spots need repairs but it's a lovely trail I take as often as possible.
Pretty trail and cool rock formations. Also saw some 12/10 doggos.
One of the best walking trails. Trail head has limited parking space, the entrance path is narrow.
