Explore the fantastical art of Iowa City illustrator Candice Broersma. The display will feature over forty pieces of originals and prints from her personal projects and commercial work. Included in the collection is Broersma’s “Uncanny Forest” series of curious tree folk in mixed media as well as miniature scratchboards from her “Monster Buddy Project”. The Reception will be held on March 23 from 6pm-8pm. Additional work will be on display at the Reception including sketchbooks, small works, and stationery. Visitors to Press Coffee will be able to enjoy the collection from March 12 to April 16.

Candice Broersma is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design and has been illustrating professionally for 10 years. She creates imaginative artwork for book covers as well as posters, cd covers, and private commissions. Broersma’s work has been featured in Infected by Art, a compendium of the top illustrations produced in the imaginative realism genre.
