Organizations interested in applying for the City’s Racial Equity and Social Justice Grant for 2024 should attend one of two informational sessions being offered on the grant. Both sessions will be via Zoom and will provide an opportunity to learn about the qualifications, requirements, and timeline for applying for the grant. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Background
In 2017, the Iowa City City Council created the Racial Equity and Social Justice (RESJ) Grant to assist community-based organizations in building capacity to address racial equity and social justice needs. The grant has six priority service areas: Building Community, Criminal Justice, Education, Employment, Health, and Housing. The City Council has allocated $100,000 for Fiscal Year 2024.
