The University of Iowa Symphony Band, under the direction of Dr. Mark Heidel, will present a free concert at 7:30PM on Wednesday, November 20 in the Voxman Music Building Concert Hall. Guest conductors include Dr. Nick Miller, and M. Cory Schmitt. Theodore “Teddy” Van Winkle, the 2024 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Fellow, will be featured as trombone soloist on Anthony Barfield’s Red Sky. The other compositions on the program are by Williams, Bach, Cuong, Ticheli, and Nagao.
