The Iowa Symphony Band is proud to represent the University of Iowa at the 88th annual convention of the American Bandmasters Association at the Lied Center of Kansas on Wednesday, March 1. On Monday, February 27, the Iowa Symphony Band will present an ABA Convention Preview Concert in the Voxman Music Building. The concert will feature conductors Richard Mark Heidel, Eric W. Bush, Myron Welch, clarinet soloist Jorge Montilla, and 60 student musicians. The program includes wide ranging music by prominent composers including Kimberly Archer, John Barnes Chance, Adolphus Hailstork, Aaron Perrine, Malcolm Arnold, Frank Ticheli, John Williams, and Michael Martin.
