Iowa City Robotics is a community, non-profit program that focuses on providing STEM opportunities to K-12 students in the greater Iowa City area. Our FIRST Robotics Competition team, Children of the Corn, is seeking new 9th-12th grade members for the 2024-2025 school year. In FRC robotics students have approximately 8 weeks to design and build a 120 lb robot that competes in a yearly challenge. Students get to travel to competitions throughout the midwest and work with other teams. Please join one of our informational sessions to learn more about the program, tour our lab space at the Kirkwood Regional Center in Coralville, and meet our team. No experience is necessary to join, students will work with local STEM professionals to learn needed skills. In addition to hardware and software, our team is also looking for students interested in graphics, video design, business, and community service. For more information please attend an info session or reach out to [email protected].
