ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This class is meant for any women with little to no experience in calligraphy who is interested in learning the simple art of brush lettering. You will both learn the a, b, c’s (literally) of calligraphy as we discuss how to hold your pen, correct technique, practice on provided alphabet pages, and develop skills that will help you create your own beautiful brush calligraphy! We will practice common words and how to achieve the perfect brush calligraphy look. By the end of the workshop you will move on to create your own hand-lettered pieces with the skills that you learned! Walk away with a new practical skill and maybe a love for lettering!

Class sizes are intentionally kept small so that Ana is able to give each student individual attention. Register today to experience a relaxing evening full of girl time, learning and fun with your mom or friends! Plus, at the end of the workshop everything is yours to take home!

Each student will leave with two completed greeting cards, a brush pen and your Lovely Little Light Mini Workbook. In addition, one lucky winner will even take home a full 60-page workbook from Lovely Little Light!

This Mother’s Day themed workshop is meant for any moms, a mother-daughter duo, a mother-to-be to sign up with friends, or even for you to bring someone who has acted like a mother-figure in your life!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Lovely Little Light is owned by local hand-lettering artist, Ana Dellamuth. Ana creates art to infuse your home, heart and closet to love deeply, spread a little joy and be a light. She believes that you were called to create a life that allows you to be a light exactly where you are in this moment — so you can be filled with joy and find rest in knowing you are fully loved and blessed with purpose.

If you’re familiar with her business, then you know her passion for lettering and design runs deep. Not only does she love creating for others, but as a former middle school teacher, she loves to teach and wants to share all that she has learned about lettering with you. Ana has taught calligraphy to over 750 individuals via in-person workshops since 2019. She hopes to teach you all her tips and tricks so you can find the creative outlet of calligraphy a practical tool for relaxation in your life. All you need is a desire to learn and she will teach you the rest!

There is no prior experience necessary. She will break down the basics and teach you all you need to know to continue lettering on your own. Ana is excited to bring you this workshop in collaboration with Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City!
