The Arts, Books & Children (ABC) Day is a feast for kids and kids-at-heart! All ages will enjoy the kids activities located on the Pedmall as part of the Iowa Arts Festival! Produced by Iowa City Public Library, this is the official kickoff for the Summer Reading program!

Activities are spread along the Pedmall, featuring Paint the Town, the ICPL Bookmobile, life size games, music, bubbles, crafts, art and more! The Family Stage will offer family-friendly, entertaining programming all day on the Pedmall Stage by the fountain.

The Iowa Arts Festival is an award-winning, weekend-long community celebration featuring over 110 local and national visual artists. On Saturday and Sunday, we feature high school and college artists in the Emerging Artist Pavilion. But that’s not all: there are music performances, food vendors serving regional and international dishes, and creative, educational activities and entertainment for children. The Iowa Arts Festival is the most anticipated art event of the summer!
