Cadence is conveniently located, has great hours, and takes care of all our kids' basic needs. We appreciate how hard the staff have worked during the pandemic to be able to stay open and accommodate everyone. We love that the school serves breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. We also like that we can get a discount on weeks when we know our kids will be absent for part of the week. Our kids love the "hidden playground" and the variety of learning centers in the classroom. They have made a few good friends and are clearly benefiting from those relationships. The teachers foster a comfortable, positive environment where our kids can learn. The one change I'd wish for is more of a good thing: a higher teacher-to-kid ratio. It seems it's been hard to retain teachers in this tight labor market with the added stress of the pandemic. I'm in awe of the staff who work there and what they're able to accomplish. Thank you, Cadence!

Our family has been a part of Cadence Academy for the last 7 years and we can’t imagine sending our kids anywhere else. The teachers and directors are great to work with and have provided a wonderful education for our kids. We’ve made wonderful friends and will be sad to say goodbye when our youngest graduates.

Cadence Academy Preschool is an absolutely amazing center for my son! The best part of Cadence is the attention and learning opportunities the instructors provide. Each week has a lesson plan, and they sometimes take pictures of my son engaging with the activities. I love the pictures because I can see him grow in his social, emotional skills, but also because he is always smiling! I know he truly loves his instructors and his new friends. I can go to work knowing that he is getting the attention and care he needs to grow happy and healthy. I cannot praise Cadence enough and we are so thankful to be a part of their family community.

Our boy has been attending Cadence Iowa City for almost 5 years since he was just ten weeks old, and the experience has been great! If you find yourself that kind of mom that sometimes worries too much and wants to know what/how your child is doing at daycare, you will want to go to Cadence! They are on KidReports, and will send you activity notifications (e.g. diapers, meals, naps, etc.) and pictures during the day, especially for parents of young children. In addition to that, you can always have very insightful conversations with your kid’s room teacher at pick up time. The Director, the Assistant Director, and the teachers are all very hands-on and responsive, and that’s one of the reasons that I like about them. I think we will really miss coming to Cadence when my son moves on to Kindergarten this fall!

We have been attending Cadence Academy Preschool for almost 5 years and now have multiple children enrolled. Jean has been so accommodating with our schedules and making sure that both of the kids were well taken care of. The kids always come home happy and excited to tell us about their activities and the new things that they learned for the day. We are so thankful to have a wonderful daycare like Cadence!
