Awesome experience staying at The Element! It was my first time ever with them and it seems to be a great hotel. Loved the breakfast being free and freshly prepared right in front of you. They also have free bikes to ride around. Coffee 24x7 along with the flavours kept at the reception. Rooms are nice and newer. Not to forget the Wine and Dine from 5:30-7pm, Monday to Thursday. Enjoyed every bit of my stay here. My shower didn’t have enough pressure, but considering all other aspects, I would still rate it 5 stars. Do stay without a doubt

We were passing through and needed a pet friendly hotel. It was really affordable, and only a $50 pet fee.
Nice location in downtown. Starbucks right across the street. The room had engineered hardwood floor in the entry and bathroom, which I love, and carpet where the bed was. Kitchenette in room.
Bed was really comfy. Room was clean. Check in was easy. Hotel has nice amenities-happy hour M-Th, free breakfast, gym, pool & a rooftop bar, which wasn’t opened in November but would be nice in warm weather.
For letting the dogs go to the bathroom, there’s a grassy area at the building across the street, which was handy.
We would definitely stay here again!

My first review was an error. I must have inadvertently hit the star and not realized it! I have NO COMPLAINTS, not one about the Element. The staff is always courteous and the amenities are top notch. I apologize for my mistake

Beautiful clean sleek hotel with kind helpful staff. Fitness room is very well stocked with towels, equipment and wipes. Outdoor space with grills is a great place to relax. The chef making breakfast with nutritional menus is a huge selling point for me. Love the weekday "relax" time with complimentary beer and wine in the evening. There are a multitude of bars and restaurants within walking distance and even a few grocery stores. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Iowa City!
