University of Northern Iowa Professor Mike Conrad brings Iowa’s premiere large jazz ensemble to Coralville for a special performance at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts. This concert will feature an opening set by the Iowa City High School Jazz Ensemble, and some brand new music for the IJCO, including a commissioned piece that 2023 Sammy Nestico Award-winner Conrad wrote for the United States Air Force Band “Airmen of Note.”
The IJCO wants to show people in Iowa and beyond that they don’t need to look to New York City or Chicago for beautiful, high-quality, creative music — there are amazing artists and musicians doing incredible things right here. Join us for an evening of original music by the likes of Bob Washut, Chris Merz, and John Rapson, featuring a 17-piece all-star band.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students (before fees and sales tax).
