DESCRIPTION:What types of plants\, animals\, and fungal life might you find at the Ashton Prairie Living Laboratory? Let’s find out! \nJoin researchers in collecting\, observing\, and recording biodiversity at the Ashton Prairie Living Laboratory in our 5th Annual BioBlitz. Your findings will inform a major research project and will contribute to the fifth data point in a multi-year documentation of how diversity changes at this site over time. Collections will be housed with the UI Museum of Natural History\, accessible for comparative data analysis for generations to come. \nRegistration is required + free. Our sound fuses jangly guitar and melodic bass lines with rock adjacent and jazz-inspired drum grooves. The group self-released their debut EP “Come August” in 2022\, a two-song EP entitled “She Wore Blue” in 2024\, and various singles\, including “Melody” and “Delia” in 2024. They continue to work on new projects and plan to release a full-length album within the year\, along with help from producer Luke Tweedy and other Des Moines area musicians.
