The community is invited to learn how to select, plant and care for new trees as well as what to look out, and to help plant trees that will be part of our neighborhood parks for years to come.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., the Parks Department will host a free tree care workshop in Fox Run Park and Pond (695 Fox Valley Drive). At the workshop, residents can learn about tree selection, how to plant and care for new trees and common tree ailments, including Emerald Ash Borer, to watch out for. Following the workshop, the the public is invited to help plant new trees that will be part of the park for years to come.
Additional trees will be planted at the Meade Barn (451 Penn St.), Fox Valley (intersection of Forevergreen and Covered Bridge roads.), and the Fox Run Neighborhood Park (538 Fox Run Drive).
